Our Values
Mightymon exists because we believe games should bring people into the experience, not push them to the sidelines. Everything we build—from how the game plays to how we launch it—comes back to a simple commitment: make something fair, engaging, and worth trusting.
Below are the principles that guide every design decision we make.

We Design for Active Play
Many card games unintentionally create long stretches where players wait while someone else resolves a turn. We wanted to change that.
Mightymon is built around movement, positioning, and shared moments at the table, so everyone stays involved throughout the match. When we say “active play,” we don’t mean chaos or dexterity, we mean meaningful actions that affect outcomes, even when it isn’t technically “your turn.”
Our goal is simple:
If you’re at the table, you should feel like you’re part of the game.
We Value Skill Over Spending
Great games reward learning, planning, and smart decisions, not just who spent the most money.
That’s why Mightymon is designed so:
- Strategy matters more than luck
- Strong play consistently beats sloppy play
- No card or component exists solely to overpower others
- You’ll see randomness where it creates excitement, but never where it replaces skill.
Losing should teach you something, not leave you feeling helpless.
If you care about fairness and competitive integrity, you’re in the right place.

We Do Not Lock Gameplay Behind Early Backing
This is important, and we want to be very clear. In crowdfunding, some games offer “gameplay exclusives”—cards, characters, or mechanics that are only available to early backers and permanently unavailable later. While this can sound appealing, it often creates long-term balance problems and makes it harder for new players to join.
Mightymon does not do this.
What that means:
- No Kickstarter-only cards with unique abilities
- No factions, mechanics, or strategies locked away forever
- No competitive advantage for backing early
- Early supporters may receive cosmetic items (alternate artwork, box markings, recognition) or early access, but everything that affects how the game plays will remain accessible.
We believe fairness builds stronger communities than exclusivity ever could. Backing early should feel good, not mandatory.
We Plan for Longevity, Not Burnout
We care more about a game lasting years than peaking for a moment. That’s why Mightymon grows carefully, with a stable core and expansions that add variety without breaking balance or overwhelming players.
We avoid constant escalation and power creep, choosing instead to protect the experience people fell in love with at the start. A great game shouldn’t demand nonstop attention—it should reward coming back.

We Build for the Table First
Mightymon is designed to be played face-to-face, where games are social, visible, and shared. Every component, board space, and mechanic is built to be easy to read, easy to teach, and engaging to watch.
We focus on creating moments that feel good at a game night, a local store, or around a kitchen table—not just on paper. If it isn’t fun to play together, it doesn’t belong in the game.
We Believe Clarity Builds Trust
We believe trust starts with being clear, not sounding impressive. That means explaining how the game works in plain language, showing real gameplay instead of highlight reels, and being honest about what’s finished and what’s still evolving.
If we use a term that matters, we explain it—because confusion doesn’t help anyone enjoy a game. Our goal is for you to understand exactly what Mightymon is before you ever decide to support it.

We Respect Our Community
Crowdfunding only works when creators and players trust each other, and we take that responsibility seriously. We see early supporters not as customers to rush, but as partners who deserve honesty, respect, and clear communication.
That means welcoming feedback, avoiding artificial pressure, and making decisions that serve the health of the game—not short-term hype. Whether you join us early or discover Mightymon later, you’re part of the same community.
